GM Continues Its Solar Leadership by Busting Solar Myths
This past September, General Motors was named as one of the top 20 Corporate Solar Customers in the U.S. GM was present at the Solar Power International conference in Orlando during the unveiling of the report and accepted the award graciously: “General Motors has been investing in solar power for years, so being named among other companies with strong solar programs, like Walmart and IKEA, is validation that our initiatives are on the right track.”
GM’s commitment to sustainability in general and solar in particular is the essence of true American leadership. While they are going solar because it helps their bottom line as an iconic American household name, their actions impact mainstream consciousness and help to bring solar energy one step closer to being on each and every one of our rooftops.
We commend GM’s active participation with the solar industry. They are really “walking the walk,” constantly engaging mainstream, corporate, and solar America; bringing minds together; and serving as a guide toward our future.
In a recent post for GM BeyondNow, where they “tell the GM environmental story,” they continued some of the solar myth-busting we explored in a recent #SolarChat. Read more for some of their shining winter goodies.
